Rainbow Six Siege Rebalances 6 Operators in New Update
Ubisoft released an update geared towards rebalancing 6 Operators for Rainbow Six Siege. According to the developers, some of the Operators were over-performing and are being balanced around their pick/ban and win rate. The game’s official website has post that shows Operator performances. Caveira’s win rate in particular is too high so she is being adjusted so she is “less frustrating to play against .” The Y3S 4.2 Patch will first go live on PC on February 5, then it will go live for consoles a day later.
Capcom Will Remake Resident Evil 3 If Fans Demand It
Capcom is willing and able to remake Resident Evil 3 if it becomes highly demanded by the fans. In a fairly recent interview, Resident Evil 2 producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi was questioned regarding the possibility of Resident Evil 3. Hirabayashi explained that the studio had only done Resident Evil 2 because it was highly demanded by the fans. He added that with the right amount of requests they would have no choice but to do a Resident Evil 3 remake. Resident Evil 2 debuted on top of the UK charts.
BioWare to Roll Out Fixes Before Anthem’s Public Demo
BioWare expressed that bug fixes will be dropping before Anthem’s public demo goes live. The developers have labeled rubber banding and infinite loading as priorities. BioWare has also channeled its focus on entitlement bugs that were demo access impediments, and issues related to the game client, logins, and Javelin unlocks, and server performance. The demo is accessible to EA Access and Origin Access subscribers, people who have pre-ordered before the February 1st and their friends.
Metro Exodus Will Be an Epic Games Exclusive and Won’t Come to Steam
Metro Exodus will be an Epic Games exclusive and won’t be coming to Steam. Metro Exodus is one of three major titles who have taken this route. BioWare’s Anthem and Sumo Digital’s Crackdown 3 are the two other major titles who have opted out of being on Steam’s Storefront. There are still quite a few names that have gone to Steam but this serves as an early indication that the landscape is changing. Steam was once the definite destination for high profile launches but now the competition thickens.
Warframe’s Profit-Taker Update Heads to PS4 and Xbox One
Warframe’s enormous open-world Fortuna expansion will become even larger on Xbox One and PS4 when the new Profit-Taker update drops. The Profit-Taker is designed to enrich the original Fortuna experience with new missions and an expanded lore. There will also be new major boss fights in the form of the titular Profit-Taker. The Profit-Taker update also introduces a new Warframe known as Baruuk, the pacifist monk. If you have not updated your accounts you may do so now as the update is live.
Black Ops 4 Gets New Update This Week, New Limited Time Mode on PS4 Included
Treyarch is poised to release another update in the near future for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Patch 1.12 will see some big changes made to the way armor works in Blackout mode, add classic weapons to Zombies. Players can also expect yet another limited-time event on the PS4. In a Reddit post, Treyarch stated that it will be reducing damage protection for armor “across the board.” In addition, the developer is increasing the number of armor plates required to repair level 3 armor.
Valve Says Metro Exodus Being Exclusive to Epic is “Unfair”
Metro Exodus will not be heading to Steam’s Storefront, and Valve is not only displeased but says it’s ‘unfair’ that the title has gone to the Epic Store. It is apparent that this was a last minute move as the game was available in the Steam store for pre-order. Valve posted on the game’s Steam page saying it is “unfair to Steam customers, especially after a long pre-sale period.” In any case, Steam pre-orders will be honored on the Epic Games Store, as will previously-purchased pre-order bonuses, expansion passes, and DLC.
Resident Evil 2’s Ghost Survivors Update Out in February
Capcom recently revealed that some free post-launch content are on their way to Resident Evil 2. One of which was to be a new mode named “The Ghost Survivors.” It is comprised of many “what-if” scenarios with randomized item layouts that let you control interesting characters such as Kendo who is the gunshop owner and the mayor’s daughter. Players are undoubtedly excited, but with no mention of a release date anywhere they haven’t any choice but to anxiously anticipate its arrival.
Fans Speculate Devil May Cry 5 Has Been Delayed
A flurry of confusion surfaced after a thread on ResetEra suggested that Devil May Cry 5’s release date was pushed back from March 8 to May 7. This claim had gone unconfirmed long enough for fans to commence speculating. The absence of PC demo birthed suspicions that the May release date could indicate a delay for this platform alone. Other fans speculated that the initial page that initiated the thread could be for the Bloody Palace mode that is available as post-launch content.
Resident Evil 2 Remake Ships 3 Million in One Week
Capcom is more than happy to announce that the Resident Evil 2 Remake has reached 3 million copies shipped In a week. Though exciting, this will not serve as a surprise to those who have kept track of their prowess and are abreast with its current dominance in the market. The entire franchise has reached 88 million copies shipped since its inception. Capcom has faith that the Resident Evil 2 remake will persist to sell well. The company expects the same “long-term sales” that Resident Evil 7 experienced.
Star Control: Origins Returns to Steam and GOG After DMCA Takedown
Star Control: Origins from Stardock has returned to Steam and GOG after the DMCA takedown by Star Control 2 creators Paul Reiche III and Fred Ford. Developers of the title have undergone one of the worst legal disputes in regards to gaming. This dispute is the catalyst for the title seeking solace in the Steam Storefront. Now that Star Control: Origins has returned to Steam, the studio breathes a sigh of relief. Currently, the game does not appear in the GOG store but all that will be fixed in due time.
League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational 2019 to be Held in Vietnam and Taiwan
Riot Games announced this year’s Mid-Season Invitational schedule. The MIS 2019 is slated to take place in Vietnam and Taiwan. The event starts May 1st with the Play-In stage that will run until May 7th. The Group Stage kicks off May 10th and will run until the 14th. The tournament will then conclude with the Knockout stage from May 17th until the 19th. Riot is also planning to be more active on the collegiate esports scene this year and build a community which gives amateur players more chances to become pros.
Latest One Piece: World Seeker Screenshots Showcase Game’s World
Bandai Namco Entertainment released new screenshots for their upcoming game One Piece: World Seeker. These new batch of screenshots focuses more on the game’s gameplay mechanics as well as the Sky Island. One specific screenshot focuses on the Karma System, this keeps track of the player’s relationships with the different characters in the game. There is also a screenshot of a treasure map. One Piece: World Seeker will launch on March 15 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays Gets New Details
Bandai Namco Entertainment will release SD Gundam G Generation Cross Rays in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. To give players more information about what’s in store for them, Bandai Namco provided new screenshots in the latest issue of Famitsu. Details on Squads which allows players to build a team of four Gundam units were revealed. The game’s story was also detailed, focusing on each of the four main Gundam game series: Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Record of Agarest War Marriage to Launch Earlier Than Expected
Record of Agarest War Mariage has been planned for release on February 1, 2019 for PC via Steam, however, it will now be launched a day earlier, which is on January 31, 2019. The game was first released on the PSP and we can expect graphical enhancements as well as new subtitles which are English, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese for the PC version. The Agarest Mariage Deluxe Bundle is available as well which comes with art books, wallpapers, and game soundtracks.
DiRT Rally 2.0 System Requirements Revealed
The minimum and recommended system requirements for DiRt Rally 2.0 have been revealed. The game is set to release worldwide on February 26th, and will be available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game requires a 64-bit Windows 7, 8 or 10 OS. It will also need 8GB of RAM and 50GB of hard disk space. Codemasters recommends an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5 8600K processor, as well as an AMD RX Vega 56 or NVIDIA GTX 1070 GPU. EA Stops Selling FIFA Points in Belgium
Following controversy surrounding loot boxes in Belgium, EA has decided to completely stop selling FIFA Points in the region. EA said they had discussions with Belgian authorities and have decided to just stop selling these as the court ruling said loot boxes in FIFA 18 were an “illegal game of chance” and are subject to Belgian gambling laws. This change will take effect January 31st. EA said, “We apologise to our players in Belgium for any inconvenience caused by this change.”
Smash Ultimate 2.0 Update Adds Piranha Plant and More
The 2.0 update for the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is here and the Piranha Plant comes with it. Other nice things come with it too, aside from the new character, like the expanded Spirit Board, the “Short Hop”, as well as a round of different tweaks and balances for the game. Also, just a reminder, for you to get the free Piranha Plant you must go ahead and register your copy of Smash Ultimate by January 31st.
Anthem Gets Sprinting Feature in Fort Tarsis
Bioware has decided to add running to Anthem when players are in Fort Tarsis. This is one change that has been well received by those who were already able to play the game’s demo. The devs first wanted the players to feel the difference between being in and out of a Javeline, hence the walking. Originally though, a run speed was available in the game but the VIP demo build did not have it for some reason. Rest assured that the sprint option will be available when the game launches on February 22.
GTA 5 is Giving Away Free Cash in February
February is going to be an awesome month in GTA 5! Rockstar Games announced that all weekends of February will award players with free 250,000 cash when they login to GTA Online. There’s also double cash and RP in all eight RC Bandito races as well as in Stunt Races or Running Back Remix mode. Several vehicles will also be available at 30-35% off.
Praey for the Gods Enters Steam Early Access
An atmospheric, action-adventure, boss-focused game called Praey for the Gods has been announced by developer’s No Matter Studios to be available on Steam Early Access by January 31st. The game had a Kickstarter goal of $300,000 but actually exceeded it, reaching $501,252. The game features the adventure of a young hero trying to find a way to end the neverending winter. To do this, the young hero must slay the towering creatures of that world. The game will be in Early Access for 6 to 12 months.
PC Building Simulator Fully Launches
PC Building Simulator has exited Early Access and is now fully launched. The game has been in Early Access since March 2018. PC Building Simulator will let players experience building a PC in the game using hardware from partners such as AMMD, Corsair, Intel, and many more. To celebrate the launch, developers The Irregular Corporation partnered with Nvidia and added its popular GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and its brand new RTX 2080 Ti in the game.
