Persuasion will happen through dialogue, so your words must be chosen carefully. The game will be calculating the odds of the success of your persuasiveness that often leads to the barter system.


Final Fantasy 14’s Update 4.5 Release Date Confirmed

Final Fantasy 14’s huge new patch finally has a release date. Update version 4.5 will roll out starting January 8th, and this update will bring part 1 of the conclusion on the story of Stormblood called A Requiem For Heroes. This update also marks the addition of one of the highly-requested professions, the Blue Mage. Blue Mages won’t be launching alongside the update, though. Instead, it will be added to the game a week later. There’s a lot more in store for players in the game, so stay tuned for more updates as they come.


Celeste Has Sold 500,000 Copies

Developer of Celeste, Matt Thorson, announced that the game was able to sell over 500,000 copies since its launch on January 25, 2018, for Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game proved to be a fan favorite as it was also able to win some awards like Best Independent Game and Games for Impact during the coveted The Game Awards 2018. Thorson also announced some future plans for the game which includes some farewell Celeste levels that they are working on and are planning to launch by early 2019.


Undead Horde Gets Festive with Its Holiday-Themed Demo

Necromancers can get festive, too! Undead Horde is joining the festivities of the holidays with a holiday-themed demo. The Holiday Special, as it’s called, includes special features such as re-animating slain enemies growing a massive army of elves, tons of loot, taking over Xmasland, having fun with the elves, and observing the reindeer. The environment is also covered in snow, with Christmas trees, a sleigh, and gift boxes scattered all over. The demo is available on itch.io.


Pilot Sports Launches Q1 2019 on PC

The release window for Z-Software GmbH’s co-op flying game Pilot Sports has been announced. The game will be available on Steam starting Q1 in 2019, while players on the Xbox One will get to play the game at a later date in 2019. Pilot Sports released for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch earlier this year. The game features over 50 courses, 7 different flying vehicles, 7 different challenge types, and unlockable free fly courses.


Gris Sees Successful Sales Just a Week After Launch

Normada Studio’s newly launched game called Gris is already making the studio a profit after being released more than a week ago. The good news was announced by the studio via their Twitter account saying, ā€œGRIS has been out for one week and our team is overwhelmed by the incredible reception and thrilled that the game is already profitable! Thank you all so much for the support!ā€. The game was launched for PC and Nintendo Switch. Most likely the next step is to bring the game to other platforms.


Star Citizen Alpha 3.4 Now Available to All Backers

Cloud Imperium has announced that Star Citizen’s Alpha 3.4 is now available to all backers of the game, and this one comes with a host of massive technical upgrades. These include sensitivity controls for headtracking, a keybind for stowing and retrieving mission specific utility items, and the addition of the Lorville Central Business District. War Thunder Offers Premium Vehicles and More

Details on Festive Quest, this year’s traditional in-game event marathon for War Thunder, have been revealed. Festive Quest runs from December 21st to January 14th, and players will earn Premium vehicles and other bonuses for free by simply playing the game on the said dates. Rewards include a German and French aircraft, as well as two ground vehicles which can only be obtained through Festive Quest. All vehicles are awarded as coupons which players can either use on their own accounts, or sell after the event ends.


Dragons Dawn of New Riders to Release February 1st

A game based on DreamWorks’ Dragons franchise is in the works. Outright Games is proud to announce DreamWorks Dragons Dawn of New Riders, which will be available starting February 1st in Europe and February 15th in North America, and will be playable on PC. Dragons Dawn of New Riders stars the new heroic duo, Scribbler and Patch, as they save dragons from the antagonist Eir who’s controlling them for her evil plans. This action-adventure game also features puzzles, familiar locations, and epic battles.


A Hat in Time Sells 1 Million Copies Across All Platforms

The oh-so-cute 3D platformer game called A Hat in Time by Gears for Breakfast was able to reach a milestone of selling more than one million copies across all its platforms. The game released in October 2017 for PC and Mac and it later launched their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports on December 6, 2017. And just recently the developers announced that the game is also coming to the Nintendo Switch and will come with two new DLCs called Seal the Deal which comes with a 240p mode plus a new co-op pack.


Celeste Devs to Add Free Ultra-Hard Levels

Matt Thorson’s platformer Celeste has been doing quite well. The game has reportedly sold over 500,000 copies this year, Thorson said in a Tweet. To celebrate this, he announced that players will get a free ultra-hard level in early 2019. In his tweet, he also mentioned that he will be announcing what’s in store for players next year as well. Thorson and his team are also working on another game aside from Celeste. He is also known for the co-op platformer TowerFall Ascension.

PUBG’s Concurrent Players on Steam Back to One Million

PUBG has some surprising feat the past week! After the launch of the Vikendi snow map, the game has seen its concurrent player count on Steam significantly increase. The game’s concurrent player count on Steam jumped to 1.1 million as of this report. In November of this year, PUBG suffered a decline in player count, with only over 800,000 concurrent players. It’s a significant decline, considering how it peaked to over 3 million players in January of this year. PUBG, however, still remains as Steam’s most popular game.


Ring of Elysium’s New Survival Mode Revealed in Latest Trailer

The winter-themed battle royale Ring of Elysium has a new survival mode. Called ā€œFrom Dusk Till Dawn,ā€ this new game mode pits players against other players as they compete for food and fuel while sheltering themselves from the storm Ymir. Players who are able to survive until first light, or 20 in-game minutes, will win. Players must stock on fuel weapons, and equipment and get ready for the storm. When it surges, they must keep their temperatures at bay and fuel is needed to keep the indoor campfire running.


Arcade Shooter Polybius Heading to PC

Polybius, the tunnel shooter from Jeff Minter is no longer a PlayStation exclusive. The game is now available on PC via Steam. Players can play the game using a normal monitor, but according to Minter the best way to play the game is in virtual reality using Oculus Rift. Polybius lets players pilot a ship through 50 psychedelic levels. The game has three modes: Normal, Pure, and Endurance. The game has received positive reviews on the PlayStation 4, and it is also now gaining positive ones on Steam.


Breach Introduces the Necromancer Class

Co-op RPG Breach has introduced the new Necromancer class. According to the description of the game, players who want to battle powerful enemies might want to take advantage of the dark magic Necromancers use. The Necromancer is a ā€ master of summoning spirits and undead minionsā€ which players can skillfully deploy in any tactical situation. They can control skeletons to attack enemies, or use spirit powers with ā€œexplosive benefits.ā€ The game will be available in paid Early Access this Winter, and will be free-to-play on its full launch.


New Jump Force Trailer Showcases Deku and Asta

Bandai Namco released a new trailer for its upcoming game Jump Force, and it showcases Izuku Midoriya, a.k.a. Deku from My Hero Academia and Asta from the Black Clover series. Deku is the protagonist of My Hero Academia, and he joins Jump Force along with cool moves including his special One For All Quirk. Asta, on of the main characters in the Black Clover series, is a master swordsman and wields the five-leaf clover grimoire. Both of them will be joining Jump Force when it launches on February 15.


Beyond Good and Evil 2 Requires Internet Connection

Players who want to play Beyond Good and Evil 2 solo might be disappointed that the game requires an internet connection even if they are not taking part in multiplayer. The developers said that the game is an online multiplayer game, and as such an internet connection is required. They added that internet connection is needed ā€œin order to have seamless navigation, receive dynamic updates, and play with friends.ā€ The game is yet to receive a release date as well as i9nformation on specific platforms it will be available on.


Shenmue 3 Will Be Available in China in 2019

Shenmue 3 is making its way to China! The highly-anticipated title will be available in China for PC and PlayStation 4. The announcement was made by Yu Suzuki during a Chinese gaming showcase. Players on PC can get the game via WeGame, a site that’s similar to Steam and is run by Tencent. Both the PC and PS4 versions will be localized to Simplified Chinese. The game is slated for release in China in Fall 2019.


Onimusha: Warlords HD Remaster Launches January 2019

The very popular battle-filled, sword fighting game Onimusha Warlords is getting an HD remaster which will be launching on January 15, 2019. The game will be available digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This will be $19.99 across all platforms. A PlayStation 4 and Xbox One physical edition will be available in North America. Onimusha Warlords originally launched in 2001 and it featured the journey of samurai Samanosuke Akechi and ninja Kaede to save Princess Yuki.


World War 3 Gets New Maps and More in Latest Update

The multiplayer FPS World War 3 is getting a major update which will add new content to the game like the TDM Berlin and Prototype map: Smoleńsk, the new United States Marine Corps, the new main battle tank: Abrams, new battle rifle: Scar H, new uniform: USMC, new camouflages, new weapon skins, new vehicle skins, plus new language versions.
